Read in December, 2010

The third to last time I cried was when the Detroit Red Wings won the Stanley Cup in '97.

The second to last time I cried was when my father died almost two years ago.

The last time I cried was when I read the ending of this book.

This is a masterpiece, straight-up future canonical dystopic literature. McCarthy joins Orwell, Huxley, Burgess and the rest of the fun bunch. The world falls apart, and all that remains is the final days of a father and his son. READ IT.

Heather Only a few books have honestly scared me when reading them. This was one of them. I couldn't put it down.

Tom Lucas Isn't is amazing how the very language, the structure, the story crumbles as you read it. So desperate. Then, like an idiot I watch the movie and all I can think about is my dad. WATERWORKS.
