The way Frank Tallis combines the cultural history of Vienna and the details about early psychoanalysis makes for very interesting reading. I found this information more interesting than the mystery/plot of the book. The historical details inspired me to go in search of more information regarding early psychoanalysis and Dr. Sigmund Freud.

It took me longer than usual to read this book though. There are loads of characters to keep track of, almost to many.

1319327 I'll have to give this one a look. I'll also pass it along to my friend who lives in Vienna.
