John Niven is heir apparent to Irvine Welsh. This novel captures Scottish charm and edge, the good and the bad. Main character Gary is a good guy but terrible golfer until an accident changes his luck. Of course, there's also a price to pay for his new gift, namely Tourette's syndrome and chronic masturbation. This book is amusing, scandalous, and delightful. Would definitely recommend.
