Lindsay's review
The Princes of Ireland: The Dublin Saga by Edward Rutherfurd
I was really psyched to read this book, but came away disappointed. Although purported to be a unified novel, it reads like a series of unconnected novellas set in Ireland from 800 to 1500 BC. I couldn't get involved with the characters or stories. I know that the author meant for the theme to be Catholicism's impact on Irish history, but he didn't sufficiently sell it, and the stories thus seemed random and unmoored. Not terrible, but a lot of unrealized potential.
