it was amazing

This was a well-crafted story, set in the Mississippi Delta in the 1940s. Mudbound is the name of the farm, around which the story takes place. This is the story of race relations, bigotry, family. This was a fantastic audiobook, as each narrator brought their distinctive voice to breathe life into the characters. Like all good historical fiction, you leave the book feeling transformed by visiting a period in time. This was a tough time in our history; the war is going on, and there is a deep divide between black and white, with accompanying cruelty. A terrific book.
