This book is about a seventh-grade boy who is left alone with his school teacher on Wednesday afternoons while all of the other students attend religious services. It's not very suspenseful, but I love the humorous tone and the lessons that Holling learns as gets to know his teacher. I laughed out loud several times. This book is thoughtful, sweet, and very clean.
