I liked the story, but really, the language often makes me very annoyed. Must the ladies speak in such a fashion? I assume that all Americans don't use such horrendous slang? It might be witty, but it just comes across as mostly common and sad. I wish the writer, who has fabulous vision, would just write nice and normal English.
Moreover, the attitude of some of the characters is rather irritating too. I mean, surely, all women in the ancient world were not doormats. To assume this is so is just errornous. I mean, Agamemnon's wife Clytemnestra, who was Helen of Troy's sister, was no pushover. So yes, good plot, not that great an execution.
