This book is a collection of reflections and poetry by a very influential Presbyterian theologian who is famous for his statement about vocation: "Where our deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet, we hear a further call". I have always enjoyed reading Frederick Buechner in the past, but this book has more philosophical overtones rather than the more theological overtones I have enjoyed in the past.
