A book about foppish young men on a trip down the Thames. The first person narrative is exactly the kind of ironic Victorian chatter that I enjoy reading. It's frothy, it's fun, it's a cake book which is about men, who knew!

I read this, btw, because a friend mentioned that the Connie Willis book, To Say Nothing of the Dog, is inspired by it. I then reread the Connie Willis book. I'm glad I read them together.
