This book really exceeded my expectations. The narrative is engaging, and told from many perspectives and in many layers. It was the right length for the story it wanted to tell. It told the story, and when it got to the end it stopped! There was just the right amount of denouement.

The Night Circus is a story with a lot of narrative about a circus, but it's really about a competition between two ideas of magic theory. It's also about being expected to carry on a fight that isn't your own.

Read it. Just read it. If my review, the idea of a night circus, or the book's synopsis sounds interesting I think you'll enjoy it.
