Suite Française by Irene Nemirovsky
I liked this book, but I might have liked the back story about Irene Nemirovsky better. I thought the plot was a little disjointed, I suppose intentionally, before it settled on a group of characters that I didn't expect it to settle on. I think I enjoyed the appendix about her life more than the actual book.
