2.5 stars. Disappointing but not as horrendous as the last book I read that was a continuation of Pride and Prejudice. Very slow to start. The author feels the need to tell you most of what happened his Austin's novel before getting underway. There is a murder and a trial but very minimal detective work. The author tries to write as Austin would bringing in the customs and manners that must be maintained but it is done without Austin's wit and humor. Most characters are flat and Elizabeth is too passive.
