I chose this book because it was in the Kindle Owner's Lending Library and had good reviews on Amazon. I'm glad I didn't pay for it. There were several problems I had with this book.

The book takes place in the far past and present. I didn't find the story that took place in the present era very interesting. Airel is a whiney teenager. Her love interest wasn't very interesting, and aside from his good looks, there is nothing given as to why she loves him. The most interesting character from the present era story is the best friend, Kim, but that might be because she isn't in much of the story.

The story from the past was more interesting, but ended abruptly.

The story changes narrative from first person to third person, with the first person being in Airel's voice. However, sometimes, when the story is in the present era, it is also third person. I found this narrative change extremely distracting. The authors should have picked a narrative style and stuck with it.

I probably won't read any more of the Airel Saga books.
