I really enjoyed this novel. The main premise is that it is about a journalist who has been trying to meet everyone's expectations for too long, and she finally loses it. This novel traces her experiences in a mental institution and discusses how she finally is able to stand on her own, despite a non-supportive family and an abusive husband.
