When a meteor hits the moon, knocking it closer to the earth, everything changes. Tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, earthquakes, and every other natural disaster begin sweeping every nation around the world. In Pennsylvania, a small family of four decides to do whatever it takes to survive. At first, Miranda and her family think everything will go back to normal soon, but as winter creeps ever closer, they begin to realize how difficult things are about to be. This book was extremely gripping and suspenseful. Miranda was a very interesting narrator because she's not only dealing with survival, but also the issues of being a teen. Life as We Knew It is a pretty powerful book about the apocalypse. Recommended for readers 14 and up.
