I have to start this out with a confession. This book "Bear Meets Girl" is actually book 7 in a series. I have yet to read books 1-6 yet. That being said - I don't feel like I missed out on much if anything AND I can't wait to read the rest of the series because these are some great characters!

Cella is a VERY strong female lead in this book. And she's a cat shifter - as is her whole family. In fact there are very few "fully-human" folks in this book. Which is kinda cool.

Ms. Laurentson does a great job of giving the shifter characters many of the basic characteristics of the animals they shift into. Which, for me, really added dimension to the characters, and made me appreciate even the toughest of gansta'.

Great read. Can't wait to read books 1 - 6.
