Unlike the previous three in the series, I had a really hard time getting invested in book four. It might be that I listened to the audio presentation of the others, so reading it was a different experience, but it also did feel like this was a weaker book in the series.

Don't get me wrong, though--it was still fun, and I do enjoy reading about Atticus and his crazy adventures, but the plot felt a little all over the place. It took me a really long time to finish this (seriously, two weeks on 300 pages is insane for me!), and while some of that was life-related, a lot of it was just not enjoying this as much.

I'm missing the setting of Tempe and his cast of characters that Atticus left behind. I'm thinking the big problem I had with this is it's kind of a transition book from the first part of the series, to whatever it's going to transform into after this. Still a fun read, and one that fans of the series will enjoy, but I'm really hoping the next in the series catches my interest better.
