In this satirical political novel, William Howard Taft is reanimated on the White House lawn in the middle of the 2012 campaign season. Heller generates blogs, tweets, cable news transcripts and secret service incident reports as Taft becomes the darling of independent voters while encountering Wii golf, Twinkies, airplanes and Google and attempting to help the cause of his great-great granddaughter (an independent representative from Ohio). There are some hilarious cheap shots (Taft becomes the target of the First Lady's fitness campaign) as well as some genuinely thoughtful reflections on the danger of romanticizing the past and projecting your wishes onto candidates.
