Beguiling the Beauty (Fitzhugh Trilogy, #1)

A sizzling and rambunctious read. Sherry Thomas once again displays her profound gift to pull you completely into her story and introduce you to wonderful and bright characters with her spare and deliberate writing style that just leaves you begging for more.
I was thoroughly enchanted with Christian and his brilliant and bumbling assumptions. I think Sherry Thomas writes such powerfully flawed men in a time when alpha heroes are tumbling off the shelves. Her heroes are as refreshing as the smell of wintergreen and pine cones.
The proud society beauty, Venetia, twice widowed and terribly wealthy, was an engaging character that had me curling my toes in glee with her antics in wrecking revenge on the outspoken Duke.
And the best part are all the assorted supporting characters of whom there must be more in the next release in July. All in all, it was a smart and sassy read which is definitely a keeper and a rereader.
I picked up BTB late one night during a bout of cold and flu insomnia and I couldn't put it down. I finished it in three hours and still felt the thrills when I woke up the next morning.
