This is a real gem of a book and brilliant writing from a debut author. Klaussmann splits the book into sections to give each character a voice, giving the story such depth and richness as you see events from each differing viewpoint. It's a brilliantly plotted story dealing with the conventions of marriage, addiction, adolescence and the dark secrets that can tear families apart. A very clever story and I eagerly await her next novel.
