Alisa's review
The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
I first read this when I was about eleven years old, sitting in a fort I had made in the living room made of blankets and filled with pillows. I had this book, and a box of tissues. If you haven't read it this may seem silly, but my empathy for the unicorns was as real and palpable as the empathy I experience for any human characters in the books I've read, and my terror at King Haggard and his Red Bull was palpable and real. Wonderful.
