Mary I loved Defending Jacob and led me to the authoress Lionel Shriver. Let me know what you thing once you've read it!

Mary What did you think?

Gina Beirne I liked it very much. It didn't end like I thought it would. I wrestled all along with the idea of Jacob's guilt and how I would have handled it. I thought the father acted inappropriately from the start--as soon as he found the knife. How far do you go to protect your child?

I agree from the moment the dad found the knife, it became scetchy for me. But I enjoyed the story - wanted to think it was someone else, but knew it had to be Jacob, or there really wastn't a story to tell.
