I am actually completely in love with this book.

I have to say, I'm not the biggest fan of historical novels, but this one surprised me. I would have given it five stars, but the recurrent run-on sentences really bothered me, and the story line was a bit predictable.

Isolde and Luca are both very likable main characters. They are intelligent and well spoken, and their personalities make them appealing. As for Freize and Ishraq, I was not too sure about either of them initially, but they both won me over by the end.

Again, the story line was a bit predictable, but even so, it was very unique and interesting. I personally have never read anything like it before, so it was very refreshing.

I definitely recommend this to just about anyone. I already have, actually, encouraged my friends to go buy it once it hits stores. Looking forward to the second one, even though I'm sure it will be a good while before it comes out.
