I'll bet this is interesting, Elena. I've taught the section "Our Secrets" from Griffin's book A Chorus of Stones in my freshmen comp course a few times. I have them write a collage-style research project like Griffin does, and it's produced some of the best writing I've gotten from freshmen, or any student.
