Born of Silence (The League, #5)

I never thought that I would give this low a rating to any book by Sherrilyn Kenyon, but I couldn't make myself give a higher rating for several reasons:
1. There are a couple of continuity mistakes: Ryn used to be Ren in both Born of Night and Born of Ice, all of a sudden his name changes. Also Kiara who now Kiara Biali? She was Kiara Zamir in Born of Night and I don't think that Kiara Biali is her married name since the person astonished at her presence is referring to her as the famous dancer, not as the wife of the Crowned Prince of Andarion.
Anyway these complaints are minor compared to what my real beef with BoS is: too much suffering, yes I get it tortured, angsty heroes are more sympathetic and lovable and attractive to readers (see Zsadist, Zarek and Acheron) but still this was too much, halfway through the book I didn't care anymore what Darling had suffered in the past, it was way too much.
