I really like the author's attitude, and appreciate her not generalizing (a pet peeve of mine is people who say "autistic people are like X" implying that the statement is true of all). The author also has an easy and interesting writing style which made it very enjoyable to read. I was not so much into the long stuff about the gorillas, but that's just because I'm not personally very interested in gorillas *shrug*
