** spoiler alert ** This was a really good book. One of the best I have read by Gail Carson Levine. Id didn't tie in to a farie tale like I thought it would, but that is not a bad thing. I rally enjoy how Addie needed to be the one to find the courage, when she realized her father didn't, though it was quite obvious, maybe I liked it so much because I saw myself so much in Addie. The part with the spector was a little obvious and it bugged me that she believed right away that it was Ryes. But then she tested him after so that was OK. I loved the part with the dragon. Had no idea how she was going to get out, that was fun, and I LOVED the ending. Not the regular "I made it there just in time" like I thought it would be, and for Meryl to find a sweetheart in Drault was fun also. Very enjoyable book and highly recomended.
