I read this book because I'd read the first and brought them home from the library at the same time. Again, I tend to like the Thoene's, but this series just doesn't seem as well-written as others. However, I still appreciate learning about this time in history. I know so little about the creation of a Jewish state after WWII, and I'm enjoying the insight I'm getting. It does make me want to read more about this subject, and historical fiction is my favorite genre.
