The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Gatsby was a lot of fun (adultery, boozing, domestic abuse, more boozing, moralizing, train rides, boozing again, and vehicular homicide), but why exactly is it taught in schools? And where is the justice in Minnesota's most famous piece of literature taking place almost entirely in the snobbish suburbs of Long Island, about as opposite from Minnesota as a place can get?
