"Everyone knows the story of Humpty Dumpty. Not so many know the story of his little sister, Dimity..."
The Dumpty family lives in an egg carton and travels with the circus, performing as The Tumbling Dumpties. Not shy little Dimity, though. Her time to shine doesn't come until her big brother falls off a wall (while writing "Humpty Rules" with a can of spray paint!), and she must finally find her voice to get help.
I like Bob Graham's soft watercolor washes, and line drawings in which the lines don't quite meet, giving the tiny egg characters (who really are the size of eggs compared to the humans in the story) a loose, happy feel. Also try Oscar's Half Birthday by Bob Graham.
