This picture book won the Caldecott Medal and for good reason. I have read it several times and my students can't get enough of it. A penguin who wears socks and an owl that is afraid of the dark are just two of the animals that will make your heart melt. This book is sweet, gentle, loving, and shows true friendship. A book to add to your collection that will be enjoyed throughout the years. One of my all-time favorite books!!
