And hmmm, not as much ass kicking as I was lead to expect.
I think this particular novel was way more of a filler book than any of the others had been. There was no real plot extension...just...another day in the life of Anita Blake. But perhaps we can't always have dramatic turns in every book? I don't know. Seems like that's what books are for...you know, discussing all the crazy things that actually have some type of meaning.
What I Liked: That Anita is still a BAMF.
What I Didn't Like: Where is this story going? I'm slightly lost. Erm...is Asher going to be the new problem child now that the Mother of All Darkness is gone? Let's see how many books it takes for Asher to be killed off. In my opinion, he definitely needs to be killed.
Anyway, I'd give this particular installment a 3.5 out of 5.
