The book was interesting and well written, but it was clear by the middle of the book that this was the setup book in the trilogy. Not my favorite kind of book. I love trilogies, but I prefer a book's storyline to be able to stand on its own and this one doesn't, in my opinion. I did like how much of the seemingly random places connected by the end of the book, but it wasn't enough to satisfy me. I don't like to end a book with more questions than answers, and that is what I got here.

I wish I'd heard about this book when the entire trilogy was finished because I'm getting a feeling this is one storyline chopped into three pieces. To me, that not a trilogy. A trilogy is three separate stories that are connected. The difference is distinct.
