really liked it

Cinder is not without it's flaws, but it's definitely a wow of a book that kept me turning pages.
The premise is really interesting and out of the box. I do agree with some other reviewers that it didn't quite get up to it's full potential, but you have to admit, it sets up a tall order in the first few pages alone.
I liked Cinder, and her struggle with all of the things she's just starting to find out about herself. I won't reveal anything, but the book makes it quite obvious about some of the twists.
The writing is solid and very readable. Nothing too special, but it gets the job done with humor and grace.
I liked the characters, and the take-offs on the original tale are fun. The mythology and lore are really creative, but I will say there were some stale moments in the book where things got a bit boring, but the pace picks up again pretty quickly.

Definitely recommended for the retelling's fan base, especially those who liked Sisters Red and Sweetly.
