Service: A Navy SEAL at War
by Marcus Luttrell, James D. Hornfischer
For this Memorial Day weekend, Service, by former Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell was the perfect pairing. This book is a sequel of sorts to his first book, Lone Survivor. (outstanding!) This is another book I received while participating in Good Reads First Reads drawing. Thanks GR.
Service picks up following his intense experience in the middle east and tells the tales of his buddies as well as his story from his return trip to Afghanistan. Writing in detail, Service is a reminder of the men and women deployed and the challenges and the victories they face.
This an outstanding book that showcases the bravery of our soldiers in battle.
I would recommend reading his first book first as there are references to it.
