I loved the Romeo and Juliet twist in this book. I'd never really thought of Shakespeare's love story the way that Serle presented it, but I found myself really tossing her ideas around in my head the whole time I was reading. I was also a huge fan of seeing a very functional friendship between three girls. In my own experience, three girls (in real life) can be hard to pull off, but I always have hope and I thought Serle wrote this friendship perfectly. Additionally, I loved the contrast between a very "perfect" world and believable but hard real-life consequences. I enjoyed my peek into how the other half lives, but I was clear that money and success do not insulate you from hard times and even tragedy. This book was full of love...romantic love, friendship love, parental love and what it means to love yourself. I can not wait to see what Serle writes next!
