This was basically a collection of novellas with a common thread of second chances at love and further bound by their setting, different beaches. The first was by Cathy Lamb, it was okay. I loved her book Julia's Chocolates, but this was just a typical Harlequin/Silhouette-type story and I felt the bad guy in the story gave up too soon, taking away the suspense. Same with the second story by Holly Chamberlin, suspense built-up and then sputtered. The best story in this book, I feel is the third by an author I have never heard of, Rosalind Noonan. It was set in North Carolina, a small town near Hatteras and Nags Head. Liked the characters and she went a little further with the suspense than the others. The final story was by Lisa Jackson. It was a reprint of one of her earlier stories. She now writes Romantic Suspense and is very good at it. This was just a romance novella and it was okay, a little too much angst. It was an okay read but a little dull.

06/28/2012 "Have read the first story by Cathy Lamb. Good, but didn't like the way it ended. Almost finished second story."
06/30/2012 "have read first and second novellas, and have begun third one. All the stories are very much alike and I've put it aside to read something else."
07/02/2012 "Have read the first 3 novellas and am about 1/3 way through the Lisa Jackson one. So far, the best thing about these stories is the setting, the beach. The best story so far is the third one by the author I had never heard of before."
