An engrossing, just-this-side of gossipy book that nobly dispenses with the third class and the crew (except for the higher officers, of course), as well as most of the mundane details regarding the ship's sinking (I think the general attitude is "you already know this or you wouldn't be reading this book"), in order to delve more deeply into the lives of the first class passengers--before, during, and after (if applicable).
