really liked it

This book I can see was intended for someone younger to read, and anyone could see why at first glance, but I really enjoyed this book and it managed to make want to keep on reading. For those critics among us, yes it definitely could be called a knock off of the Harry Potter series, but I don't see it that way. The plot as a whole is very similar to Harry Potter but it in no way mimics it. If you enjoy reading things that deal with supernatural powers and a enjoy a good mystery I would recommend you read the series, they are quick reads and can easily be finished in two days, but they never get boring, at least they didn't for me. The biggest message that comes from this book is how important friends are, and emphasizes how their support can get you through whatever challenges you may face, definitely something important for younger people to understand.
