This paranormal steampunk fantasy is an easy read but unremarkable. The heroine is a very young 18 years old whose extreme naivete is hard to believe. She is not particuarly memorable, and neither are the other characters or the plot. It's not a poorly written book, it just does not stand out, and I'm sure it will find an audience (most likely among very young teen girls).

I read an advance copy. If the cover art is the final cover, I find it misleading as to the "peculiarity" of the main character.
