Precious Ramotswe's very first case (Precious, for anyone who has not read them, is the smart, traditionally-built sleuth of McCall Smith's "No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" series). The story is rather simple but the Botswana setting adds a lot of interest and the book is beautifully illustrated with red, white, black and grey ink drawings. There is an extensive educator section at the end which will make this perfect for use in classrooms.
