it was amazing

Brooklyn, 1947. Life is difficult but not to be taken for granted. Young Michael Devlin, a Catholic altar boy, befriends a neighborhood rabbi, resulting in lifelong change for both. World War 2 having recently ended, violent anti-semitism rears its ugly head, victimizing the boy and the rabbi.

This is the year Jackie Robinson joins the major leagues, and all of Brooklyn holds its breath on behalf of their beloved Dodgers. Michael teaches the rabbi the America religion of baseball. In turn, Rabbi Hirsch teaches Michael Yiddish and the history of Prague.

Fictional, historical, and sprinkled with magic. Don't miss the opportunity to have your heart filled by Snow in August.
