This is an excellent graphic novel. It tells the story of Anya, a Russian girl who is desperate to fit in at an American high school. One day, she falls down a well and meets a ghost named Emily. After Anya is rescued, the ghost continues to follow Anya around. At first Emily is friendly and helps Anya, but then things take a dark turn.

The form of the graphic novel was a good choice for this story. It perfectly conveyed how Anya felt like an outsider, in addition to the typical teenage girl angst. And the haunting sequences were scary enough that I hope I never stumble on the bones of any angry ghosts.
