Travis Parker, a vet by profession is charming and adventurous.Though he had quite few good relations before ,but not one lasted long. Gabby holland, an assistant physician arrives as a new neighbour. She had been dating Kevin, a golf player for long time.

Travis meets gabby for the first time, finds her interesting & good-looking. He invites her for a weekend gettogether along with his friends. They all have good time together bumpy jumpimg, boating. Gabby gells well with everyone and Travis is easily taken away by her. They spend more time together, travis wanting to win her heart . Gabby is quite resistant because of her ongoing relationship . Travis has this fantastic character with a burst of optimism.
She is confused by the way she feels for Travis, whom she knew for less time and Kevin, whom she thought she wanted to spend rest of her life. She finds her state messy and had to make a choice.
The triangular love story is not so appealing , coz its seems to be win-win at one side. The first part describes both there characters , the way they fall in love.
The second part starts 11 years after there marriage with 2 lovely kids. . Both travis and gabby meets with an accident , both are hurt, both are taken to the hospital but the similarity ended there.Sparks takes through the consiquence of the accident, the difficult phase they had to encounter.

Sparks conveys about the true love and ‘how far can someone go in the name of love. The story is kind of very moving and deeply depressing. So, if anyone is in search of book with powerful emotions, ‘ the choice’ is highly recomended. The premise of the story is in a small place called North Carolina. The prose is easy to read , story has a slow start but second half goes quiet well.
