This was a short sweet read. The story picks up from a year after Lakes's mum death. I was surprised at first because it is told from Will's perspective, but then I just settled down and enjoyed. It was refreshing to be allowed into Will's head and interesting to hear his thoughts. Point of Retreat explores Will and Lakes' relationship and asks the question - are they together for the right reasons. Although not as emotionally charged as the first, this was a beautiful conclusion to the story. I love Colleen Hoovers clean, clear writing style and I loved the slams in this book just as much as the ones in book 1.
