it was amazing
bookshelves: scifi

SciFi was the first genre that I really got into, but I must admit I read this book AFTER seeing the movie. Fortunately this did not distract from the book, and I was gripped from the start. I developed an obsession with Venus Fly Traps after the first time I read it (never did get one to eat a fly), and still look suspiciously at thickets of rhododendrons. Wyndham proved himself as a master storyteller, though is probably a bit dated in the 21st century. Nevertheless, I read this and moved on to many m more Wyndham and other scifi novels, so he must have been doing something right.
