I didn't read the first on in the series, I just couldn't fathom a duke marrying a dressmaker. Still can't. It'm not saying it couldn't have happened, but the liklihood is slight. And then for the couple to be eventually accepted...not so much. THe whole premise to this series is a little far fetched for me.
The story itself is well written, but the hero...a little unlikable. Everyone around him are always referring to him as less than intelligent...he even does it to himself. It's a little off putting for a character to do that. Especially when he is supposed to be the hero. He seemed a little like Forrest Gump in a way "stupid is as stuppid does".
Altogether not a bad book but defeintely not her best.
