This is the second in a series about an investigative reporter on a Denver newspaper, Catherine McLeod who, when she gets her teeth into a story, doesn't let go. In this case it involves the murder of the prime candidate for governor of Colorado. The trick is the reader knows who did it so we follow along waiting for clues to be discovered and we know the danger that surrounds Catherine.
Coel follows the trend of her Wind River Mysteries (Father John O'Malley and Vicky Holden), making Catherine part Arapahoe, so that Indian legends and customs are still part of the story.. She was originally a historian and is considered an expert on the Arapahoe Indians.
She lives in Boulder--gee maybe I'll meet her at King Sooper's.
