really liked it
bookshelves: adventure, brambleberry-library, children-s, fairytale-fantasy-sci-fi-mythology, year-end-picks, modern-presentday
Recommended for: Anyone who loves comedy and Greek mythology. Or just a great story!
Read in November, 2009 , read count: Three

As always, filled with humor, wonderfully delightful characters and one of the best friendship/ non-romantic relationships in ages, this book is one I would recommend to practically anyone. It blends Greek mythology into a modern world, pits two thirteen year-old protagonists against the entire Pantheon bent on humanity's destruction, and then throws in one of the most amusingly wicked villains ever and voila, you have the recipe for an excellent read.
