This is, hands down, one of the best contemporary fiction novels out there. I think I like Patrick way more than should be legal, because he is probably the only best love interest I've read of in a book for so long. It's nice to read a refreshing novel (kind of ironic, considering the conflict) about childhood friendship-turned romance. The family problem was believable and realistic, and I definitely admire how Sarah Ockler made it just so that it continued throughout the book without magically coming to a close like that! at the end.

Definitely read this book.
